Walter Anderson, chair and CEO of Parade Publications, talked about his memoir, Meant to Be, published by HarperCollins. Mr. Anderson recounted the story of his life and career, including his childhood in a poor and abusive home, his service in the Marine Corps, and his mother’s admission that the man who he thought was his father was not. Anderson’s real father was a Russian-Jewish man, who his mother fell in love with while her husband was fighting in World War II. Mr. Anderson also read from his book and responded to questions from the audience. close
