Ms. Rowe-Finkbeiner talked about her book The F-Word: Feminism In Jeopardy - Women, Politics and the Future, published Seal Press, on the state of the women’s movement and feminist thought. In the book the author discusses the state of women’s rights in America and argues that too many young women consider feminism a bad word and as a result aren’t fighting hard enough for economic and political equality. Ms. Rowe-Finkbeiner and women lawmakers spoke about a variety of issues including women’s participation in political activities, social, economic, and cultural changes over the last several years, and the future of feminism. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
