Thurston Clarke talked about his book Ask Not: The Inauguration of John F. Kennedy and the Speech That Changed America, published by Henry Holt and Co. The book examined the remarks made by John F. Kennedy after being sworn in as the 35th president of the United States on January 16, 1961. Mr. Clarke revealed that while JFK and his speechwriter Ted Sorensen crafted the speech, unacknowledged contributors included: Adlai Stevenson, Gore Vidal, Harris Wofford, and Walter Lippman. Following his remarks, he answered questions from the audience. close
