Mr. Waldman talked about his book, My Fellow Americans, published by Sourcebooks Trade. The book is a collection of the 43 presidential speeches the author considers most influential. Mr. Waldman discussed his experiences as a speechwriter for President Clinton and commented on speeches made by several presidents. He also played a recording of President Franklin Roosevelt’s D-Day Prayer, delivered on the evening of June 6, 1944, and another recording of an eyewitness account of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Following his presentation, the author responded to questions from the audience. close
