The Senate passed S. 1083, the Medical Waste Tracking Act. The Senate began consideration of S.3, to amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to provide for a voluntary system of spending limits for Senate election campaigns. Appointments to the Senate delegation to the Canada-United States Inter-parliamentary Group were made, and nominations were received for the positions of district and circuit judges and for the rank of general in the Marine Corps. close
