Former Governor Howard Dean spoke at a town hall meeting at the Phillips Exeter Academy. It was his final event in New Hampshire before primary voting began at midnight. He asked people to vote for him to make a fundamental change in the country. He proposed that a Democrat would only get elected by standing up for what he believed in rather than taking popular positions. He spoke about President Bush’s policies including the prescription drug bill, energy policy, tax cuts, balancing the budget and health care. After his introductory remarks he answered questions from a panel of four students. close
