Mr. Toker talked about his book, Fallingwater Rising: Frank Lloyd Wright, E.J. Kaufmann, and America’s Most Extraordinary House, published by Knopf. The author discussed life in America during the 1930's, when Fallingwater, constructed over a waterfall in the mountains of Pennsylvania, was built. Mr. Toker also talked about the association of such well-known figures as Franklin Roosevelt, Ayn Rand, Albert Einstein, and Henry B. Luce with the history of the house. He showed slides throughout his presentation. Following prepared remarks, he responded to questions from the audience. close
