Gyude Bryant, Chairman of the Liberian National Transitional Government, talked about efforts to rebuild Liberia following the resignation of President Taylor and about relations with the U.S. Among the issues he addressed were the state of the nation’s infrastructure, the history of the relationship between Liberia and the U.S., and future efforts to sustain peace.
