Jesse Jackson spoke before an audience of labor supporters during a “Jobs for Justice” rally sponsored by the AFL-CIO in Concord, NH. In his remarks, Mr. Jackson compared the aid supplied by the U.S. to foreign countries following World War II to the lack of aid supplied by the U.S. government to labor during the current recession. He called for “Operation America Reborn,” to support the creation of jobs in the U.S. and provide support for economically disadvantaged Americans. He also called for the passage of the 1991 Civil Rights bill to ensure equality in employment for all Americans. close
