Mr. Feifer told the story of former KGB spy handler Victor Cherkashin who worked for the Soviet intelligence agency from 1953 to 1991. During that time Cherkashin recruited Americans to spy for the Soviet Union. In the book, Mr. Cherkashin gave reasons why he believed men like Aldrich Ames and Robert Hannsen turned against their country. During his presentation Mr. Feifer showed slides of illustrations from the book. After the interview, he answered audience members' questions. Feifer was a former Moscow correspondent for Radio Free Europe.
