Chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, DeForest “Buster” Soaries, joined C-SPAN’s Washington Journal and talked about the Commission and its plan to distribute $2.3 billion to the states for voting technology upgrades. The commission was established by Congress to implement the “Help America Vote Act” of 2002 and to create national standards for voting in federal elections.
