Mr. Gingerich talked about his book, The Book Nobody Read: Chasing the Revolutions of Nicolaus Copernicus, published by Walker and Company. In the book, the author reveals his findings and conclusions after studying over 600 copies from the first (1543) and second (1566) printings of 16th-century scientist and astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus’s De revolutionibus. Copernicus’s book was the first to claim that the earth revolved around the sun, rather than vice versa. Following prepared remarks, Mr. Gingerich responded to questions from the audience. close
