Russell Rickford talked about his book, "Betty Shabazz: A Remarkable Story of Survival and Faith Before and After Malcolm X", published by Sourcebooks. During this presentation, the author spoke about Shabazz’s struggle to retain her own identity while living in the shadow of her assassinated husband. He addressed the manner in which she dealt with her husband’s death and continued her life. Mr. Rickford also read excerpts from his book and responded to questions from the audience. close
