Former Ambassador to Afghanistan Peter Tomsen moderated a panel on “Regional Stakeholders” and the relationships between Afghanistan and other countries that would lead to successful reconstruction. The discussion included ways that Afghanistan has been involved in the affairs of neighboring regions throughout history as well as the roles that neighboring powers have played in Afghan affairs. Emphasis was given to the role of Iran. The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience. close
