Professor Starr visited Northwestern University’s School of Communication to talk about his book The Creation of the Media, published by Basic Books. In the book, he gives a history of the development of American media. The author provided information on a range of topics including the nationalization of the postal service, commercial radio broadcasting during the WWII era, and the current argument concerning government regulation of the mass media.
