Board of Education and the Unfulfilled Hopes for Racial Reform, published by Oxford University Press; Dr. Arlene Churn, author of The End Is Just the Beginning: Lessons in Grieving for African Americans, published by Harlem Moon; Juan Williams, author of This Far by Faith: Stories from the African American Religious Experience, published by Amistad; and Jawanza Kunjufu, author of Countering the Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys, published by African American Images. After their discussion the panelists responded to questions from members of the audience.

The Harlem Book Fair on Saturday, July 24 was located on West 135th Street between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard in New York City. Panel discussions were held in the Langston Hughes Auditorium in the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
