Mr. Weinstein talks about his book The Forgotten Network: DuMont and the Birth of American Television, published by Temple University Press. The book chronicles the rise and fall of the DuMont Network. He discussed the founder of DuMont, Allen B. DuMont and the events that led to the closing of his business. Mr. Weinstein talked about how important he believes DuMont was in the early 50s and mentioned the different programs and personalities produced by the company, such as Jackie Gleason from “The Honeymooners.” close
