President Bush spoke to supporters in West Virginia. Mr. Casini prefaced Pres. Bush’s remarks by noting that the President has helped to improve the steel industry, a critical part of northern West Virginia’s economy.

Pres. Bush encouraged his supporters to help increase voter turnout by urging their friends and family to go to the polls. He also spoke about his time in office, emphasizing his policies on education, health care, and the War on Terror. He defended his decision to invade Iraq while acknowledging that “we did not find the stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction we thought would be there.” He contrasted his policies with those of Sen. Kerry. close
