Sen. Edwards criticized the speakers at the Republican National Convention; he challenged their veracity: “they’ll say anything.” He dismissed attacks on Sen. Kerry’s service in Vietnam by saying, “He wasn’t wounded quite often enough.” He was sharply critical of Pres. Bush’s economic and employment policies, and his handling of the war in Iraq.
