Mr. Buchanan talked about his book Where the Right Went Wrong: How Neoconservatives Subverted the Reagan Revolution and Hijacked the Bush Presidency, published by Thomas Dunne Books. He credited Pres. Bush with doing well in prosecuting the war on terror, but claimed that the war in Iraq was a horrible mistake that “will bleed, bankrupt, and isolate” the U.S. He characterized the President’s foreign policy as “Wilsonianism on steroids.” He accused the President’s neo-conservative advisors of “plotting with Israel” to wage war in the Middle East. He responded to audience telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail. close
