During a symposium on “The Warren Report and Its Legacy,” panelists debated whether Jim Garrison was duped by the KGB. Mr. Garrison was the New Orleans district attorney who prosecuted Clay Shaw for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. After their presentations they answered audience questions.

The Warren Commission, established by President Lyndon Johnson to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Jim Garrison, who was the district attorney of Orleans Parish, Louisiana, disagreed with that finding. Mr. Garrison investigated the assassination and concluded that there was a cover up. close
