Republican Jim DeMint and Democrat Inez Tenenbaum took part in a debate for the South Carolina senate seat that was opened by the retirement of Senator Fritz Hollings after six terms.

Mr. Codgill moderated the debate, and candidates responded to questions about their positions on a number of domestic and foreign policy issues. Topics for debate included the candidates' respective records, health care, education policy, homeland security, the war in Iraq, and economic policy. close
