Gillian Gill talked about her book, Nightingales: The Extraordinary Upbringing and Curious Life of Miss Florence Nightingale, published by Random House. In it, she examined the public and private life of Florence Nightingale including her childhood, her family, and her religious convictions. Ms. Gill also described how the woman she calls “Flo,” came to be a well known figure through her advocacy of health care reform and her role in the Crimean War.
