Judge Wallace Tashima of the Ninth Circuit of the U.S Court of Appeals, gave the keynote address for a conference on the 60th anniversary of four Supreme Court cases challenging the curfew and internment of Japanese-Americans in several camps during World War II. Judge Tashima is a California native who was interned as a child in an Arizona camp with his family. He was elevated to the Ninth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals by President Clinton in 1996. close
