As part of a project sponsored by C-SPAN Television Networks and Time Warner Cable to encourage dialog between students and national figures, Chris Meyer talked to Marina High School students about his career. He described becoming interested in journalism in junior high school. He explained his belief that there are leaders on every strata of society and that everyone plays the role of leader sometimes and follower sometimes. He described his job as deputy editor of a newspaper, including the leadership concepts as both manager and fellow worker. After his presentation he answered students' questions. close
