A panel discussion on “Gay and Transgender Rights: Science, History, and Law” was held at the University of Virginia Bookstore. Among the topics addressed were the history of the gay rights movement, scientific inquiry into homosexuality, civil rights laws affecting the queer community, and attitudes about current issues like same-sex marriage. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience.
