Moderated by Mr. Naim, the winner and finalists for the 2004 Lionel Gelber Prize discussed the current state of the world. The authors talked about their books briefly and then answered audience members' general questions about current international affairs. Topics included intelligence reform and global political corruption.

2004 Gelber Prize winner Steve Coll wrote Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan, and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001. His book was also recently awarded the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction.
