A panel talked about the spread of democracy around the world, U.S. foreign policy goals, Islamic terrorism, and the degree to which democratic institutions could temper Islamic fundamentalism and the employment of terrorism. They also talked about the role of Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, policies of Muslim governments in relation to terrorist organizations, and the ability of the international community to respond to terrorist threats. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
