Ms. De La Torre described port of entry operations and border security at border crossings between the U.S. and Mexico. She spoke by video remote from the U.S. Port of Entry in Douglas, Arizona, and responded to questions and comments from viewers.

The Port of Entry is where cars and pedestrians from Mexico enter the United States. Officials at the Douglas Port search for illegal drugs and weapons entering the United States. Douglas, which is directly across from Agua Prieta, Mexico, is located in what is known as the “Tucson Sector” of Arizona, an area which has a high concentration of illegal immigrants entering the United States. close
