Ilan Stavans talked about his book Dictionary Days, published by Graywolf Press. He described his obsession with words and gave a history of several languages including English, French, Spanish, and Latin. The author also compared different definitions of the same words and how they reflect the cultures of particular regions. After his presentation Professor Stavans answered students' questions.
