David Enders talked about his book Baghdad Bulletin: Dispatches on the American Occupation, published by University of Michigan Press. The book chronicles his experiences as a journalist with press credentials covering the war from outside the territory of the coalition-controlled Green Zone, and gives a first-hand account of life for Iraqi civilians during the war. David Enders was a 24 year-old independent journalist who moved to Baghdad during the war in Iraq to open the only English language newspaper written, printed, and distributed there during the war. Topics discussed included the invasion and occupation of Iraq, a journalist friend who was shot and killed in Baghdad, and publishing the Baghdad Bulletin. He also read excerpts from the book. After his presentation, he responded to audience members' questions. close
