Zsa Zsa Gershick talked about her book Secret Service: Untold Stories of Lesbians in the Military, published by Alyson Books. Zsa Zsa Gershick is a journalist who served as a reservist in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1982. Her book discusses the U.S. military and the discharge of gay and lesbian troops. The author describes the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy concerning sexuality as misleading and details military life through the eyes of lesbian service members. She read excerpts from the book and responded to questions from members of the audience. close
