Interviewed by Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of President Dwight Eisenhower, Kenneth Walsh discussed his book From Mount Vernon to Crawford: A History of the Presidents and Their Retreats, published by Hyperion. He described various presidential retreats and the historic decisions and events that occurred at them. 

His other books include Ronald Reagan: Biography, Feeding the Beast: The White House Versus the Press, and Air Force One: A History of the Presidents and Their Planes. Susan Eisenhower is a distinguished fellow at the Eisenhower Institute where she served as both president and chairman. Her books include Breaking Free: A Memoir of Love and Revolution and Mrs. Ike: Memories and Reflections on the Life of Mamie Eisenhower. close
