Mr. McCormack briefed reporters on humanitarian aid to Uzbekistanis seeking asylum in Kyrgyzstan and the U.S. appreciation to the Krygyz government for allowing asylum seekers into their country. He also briefed them on a statement made by the wife of a wanted war criminal, Liliana Karadzic and how she asked her husband to surrender to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague. He then took questions from reporters on such issues as the six-party talks with North Korea, Chechnya, China, the Bolton nomination, and Lebanon. close
