Alan Sears talked about his book The ACLU v. American: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values, published by Broadman and Holman Publishers. He argues that the American Civil Liberties Union is anti-America. In his book, which he co-authored with Craig Osten, Mr. Sears writes that the agenda of the ACLU is based on communist and socialist principles and actively campaigns against democracy. The author further asserts that the group’s actions are in fact stripping Americans of the freedoms they claim to protect. He claims that the actions of the ACLU are hypocritical and deceptive with only a pretense of tolerance. In his talk he quoted many officials of the ACLU to illustrate his points. He also talked about successes in fighting the agenda of the ACLU. Throughout his talk he displayed slides of many quotes as well as graphs and other material.
