Mr. O’Hara talked about how the nomination process for the United States Supreme Court has changed over the years. He said that during the early years, the nominee would likely be someone known by the Senators. Mr. O’Hara discussed how it had only been since the 1950s that the judiciary committee would meet in person with the nominee and even then they would avoid asking questions related to cases that might be brought to the Supreme Court. close
