In the first Prime Minister’s Questions since the House of Commons' summer recess, Prime Minister Blair responded to questions from members of his party and the opposition. He addressed various issues including the Pakistani earthquake, religious discrimination, education policy, and health care reform.

House of Commons members returned October 10 to the announcement that Michael Howard would resign as Conservative party leader. Conservative Party elections were to be held on December 6, 2005. close
