The Millions More Movement commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Million Man March on the National Mall with speeches and performances highlighting the theme of reparation, repair, rebuilding, reconstruction and renewal of the black community. Participants focused on internal methods and programs for self-repair and renewal, as well as the responsibility of the government in fostering a climate of growth for minority movements.

The afternoon portion included a keynote address by Minister Farrakhan, a tribute to Dorothy Height, speeches on youth and elder perspectives, and remarks on cultural development.

Part of the program also highlighted the plight of victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and victims of racism. The afternoon portion begins with remarks on by a second group of victims' families and continues through Reverend Farrakhan’s speech. The first group of victim’s families spoke on the morning section, but their remarks were abruptly interrupted by audio difficulties. close
