Sen. Trent Lott talked about his memoir Herding Cats: A Life in Politics, published by Regan Books. The book discussed his career in politics and his role as a leader in the conservative movement. Senator Lott talked about his life at the University of Mississippi where he was a cheerleader and fraternity leader. During his presentation, he showed pictures from his book and read a couple passages. The author also discussed his resignation as Senate Majority Leader after comments he made at the late Senator Strom Thurmond’s 100th birthday party.
