In a public forum Governor Schwarzenegger and his opponents talked about a number of ballot initiatives that will be considered in a November 8 special election. The governor, who sponsored four of the eight propositions, and representatives of the Democratic Party and organized labor appeared separately and answered questions from an audience of voters. The ballot initiatives included teacher tenure, union dues, state spending and redistricting.
The forum was held at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts. Television coverage was courtesy of KTVU-TV, Oakland. close
