Following their 2+2 meeting, Secretaries Rumsfeld and Rice were joined by Ministers Machimura and Ohno to speak to reporters about the transformation of the Japan-U.S. alliance. Included among the topics they discussed were the realignment of U.S. forces in Japan, international disaster relief, economic trade, and global security.
