Representative LaTourette, chairman of the House Railroads Subcommittee, spoke about the future of Amtrak. On Wednesday, November 9, 2005, the Amtrak board of directors fired Amtrak president David Gunn. Congressman LaTourette spoke about his opposition to the firings. He will hold a hearing on November 15 about the firing and whether the board had the authority to fire Mr. Gunn. Representative LaTourette also responded to questions and comments from viewers. close
