A panel discussion was held on the First Amendment rights of whistleblowers, employees, former employees, or members of an organization who report misconduct to people or entities that have the power to take corrective action. Ms. Greenhouse and representatives from the National Whistleblower Center discussed her stand against contractor misconduct and the rights of whistleblowers to expose such abuses. They also responded to questions and comments from students in the audience.

Bunnatine Greenhouse, a Defense Department contracting official, was demoted after she questioned improper contracting practices that benefited Halliburton subsidiary KBR. Michael Kohn is her attorney. close
