The Broad Street Books of Ghent Nonfiction Book Club met to discuss Susan Sontag’s book Regarding the Pain of Others, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. The book explored photographic images of war and atrocities and how such images affect the people who see them. It was the last book Susan Sontag published before her death from leukemia on December 28, 2004, at the age of 71. Professor Raisor moderated the book club discussion.
