Ms. Ferrechio spoke about Republican lobbying and ethics reform proposal presented the previous day by House Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier (R-CA) and House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL). She also talked about the Senate proposal from Senators Rick Santorum (R-PA) and John McCain (R-AZ). Ms. Ferrechio spoke about possible proposals Democrats may present at a later press conference led by Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). The guest responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
