Martin Kaiser talked about his autobiography, Odyssey of an Eavesdropper: My Life in Electronic Countermeasures and My Battle Against the FBI, published by Carroll and Graf. The electronic surveillance expert described his career supplying eavesdropping devices to the FBI, CIA, and DEA. After testifying before the National Wiretap Commission in 1975, Martin Kaiser was indicted by the Justice Department on charges of illegal wiretapping and conspiracy. He asserted that as a result of his testimony the FBI began a vendetta against him that damaged his business and triggered an emotional breakdown. After his presentation he answered audience members' questions.
