Saddam Hussein testified in his defense. In his testimony he called on Iraqi’s to join together to defeat the U.S.-led occupation and stressed that he was still the president of the country. His audio was cut several times by the chief trial judge who accused Saddam Hussein of giving political speeches. The trial was eventually closed to media because he refused to directly answer or speak to the charges against him.
