Charles Jones talked about his book Boys of ‘67: From Vietnam to Iraq, the Extraordinary Story of a Few Good Men, published by Stackpole Books. He described the lives and careers of General James Jones, General Ray Smith and General Martin Steele, members of the Marine Officer Basic School graduating class of April 5, 1967. After his presentation the author answered audience members’ questions.

The event was held at the Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia.

Author Charles Jones is the son of the late Marine General William K. Jones and the cousin of one of the Marines profiled in his book, General James L. Jones, who in 1999 was named the 32nd Commandant of the Marine Corps. close
