General Zinni talked about the book he co-wrote with Tony Koltz, The Battle for Peace: A Frontline Vision of America’s Power and Purpose, published by Palgrave Macmillan. He was commander in chief of CENTCOM and special envoy to the Middle East. He explained why he thinks Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld should be replaced and talked about the Iraq War, U.S.-Iran relations, and the Israel-Palestine conflict. General Zinni was joined by Benjamin Page and Charles Glaser in a discussion moderated by John Callaway. After their discussion they answered audience members' questions.

The event was part of a regular series at the Pritzker Military Library called “Front and Center,” moderated by longtime “Chicago Tonight” host John Callaway. close
