Mr. Kavanaugh testified at a May 9 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on his nomination. Included are the opening statement from committee chair Senator Specter (R-PA), the opening statement from Mr. Kavanaugh, and a portion of the hearing.
On May 11 the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 10-8 along party lines to send the nomination of White House Staff Secretary Brett Kavanaugh to the full Senate for consideration.
